China’s Textile and Garment Exports up 3.24% in H1, 2018

According to China’s General Administration of Customs, China’s textile and garment exports totaled US$ 127.52 billion in January-June, 2018, up 3.24% over the same period last year. Thereinto, textile exports reached US$ 58.33 billion, seeing year-on-year rises of 10.28%. While garment and accessories exports were US$ 69.19 billion, with year-on-year decline of 2.03%.

Based on the monthly export data, China’s textile and garment exports reached near US$ 25.47 billion in June, with year-on-year growth of 4.61%, reaching the highest level of the past ten months for monthly export. Among them, textile exports reached US$ 10.68 billion, improving 10.58% year-on-year. While garment and accessories exports were US$ 14.79 billion, seeing year-on-year rises of 0.69%. Besides that, China’s exports of footwear products totaled US$ 22.47 billion in the first half year of 2018, down 4.9% year-on-year, and decreased by 1.8% year-on-year in quantity term.
