Prosperity Index of China Cotton Textile Industry up in December 2021

The prosperity index of China’s cotton textile industry came in at 48.43 in December 2021, up 0.23 from November.

 

In December, the raw material purchasing index came in at 48.32, down 0.74 over November; the raw material inventory index came in at 48.7, unchanged from the previous month; the production index was 49.32, up 0.3 from November, maintaining the growth; the product sales index came in at 46.93, down 0.48 from November; the product inventory index was 49.58, seeing a year-on-year rises of 1.06 from November; and the business index came in at 47.96, increased by 0.08 from the previous month.

 

The prosperity index of China’s cotton textile industry is based on the weighed calculation of numerous main indicators of about 200 backbone cotton textile enterprises. A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below reflects contraction.
