Status and Development Trend of Auxiliaries Industry

In recent years, the recovery of textile and garment industry leads the development of textile industrial parks in various regions. Especially in Xinjiang, many counties and cities here have taken advantage of the advantages of Xinjiang’s Cotton Industry Base to build textile industrial parks and put printing and dyeing plants, weaving factories, into production. The explosive development of downstream industries has also brought vitality to the upstream industries. As a pillar industry of printing and dyeing plants, auxiliaries have played an irreplaceable role in textile industry.

According to statistics, there are only 1500 or so types of auxiliaries that have been developed and produced in China at present, accounting for only 10% of the total. And 1,000 types of auxiliaries are produced perennially, of which only 300 types are the main varieties. Domestic enterprises still need to strengthen their technological innovation and rich their product categories.

With the continuous improvement of people’s living standards and the continuous upgrading of diversified demands, the consumption of China’s auxiliaries for printing and dyeing industry has greater space for improvement.

Textile auxiliaries are the niche industry for fine chemicals, which have the characteristics of severe pollution and high energy consumption. In general, the development status of auxiliaries is not optimistic because of low-carbon economy. Moreover, there is still a large amount of backward production capacity in the auxiliary industry, and many enterprises have also encountered management difficulties. It is clear that the integration of textile auxiliaries is imperative, and the industrial upgrading is at all imminent.

At present, various new technologies emerge in endlessly. The introduction of microemulsion and nanotechnology has greatly improved the updating and upgrading of textile auxiliaries. Therefore, for enterprises, the development of high-end functional products is the key to obtaining profits and maintaining their market position.

The current development trends of textile auxiliaries are as follows:
1. With the continuous development of China’s economy, the demand for textile auxiliaries in the printing and dyeing industry will continue to increase. Currently, China is the world’s largest textile producer, consumer, and exporter, the steady development of China’s printing and dyeing industry will inevitably provide good opportunities for the development of textile auxiliary industry.

2. In the future, the textile industry will continue to strengthen the investment in R&D of high technologies. The appearance of new-type fibers will set higher demands on textile auxiliaries. Thus, developing the auxiliaries that are appropriate for new fibers, new technologies, and compound fabrics is the trend for the development of textile auxiliaries in the future.

3. Environmental protection and green manufacturing will become the mainstream of the development of textile chemicals in the future. With the national policies and regulations such as “The Clean Production Propel Law” and “Technical Specification for Ecological Textiles”, and people’s improved requirements for the safety performance of textiles, the dyeing and finishing industry will vigorously promote green and clean processes. Meanwhile, in addition to the general properties required for textile auxiliaries and dyestuff, some certain specific quality indicators should also be met by textile chemicals, such as safety performance, biodegradability property, without environmental hormones, etc.
