The Total Profits of China’s Textile Industry Above Designated Size up 3.7% in January – April

According to the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to April, the profit of China’s industrial enterprises above designated size totaled CNY 1.81 trillion, seeing a year-on-year decline of 3.4%, and the degree of reduction basically same with the first three months. The profit of manufacturing industry totaled CNY 1.48 trillion, down by 4.7% year-on-year.

From January to April, the main business income of textile enterprises above designated size reached CNY 797.46 billion, increased by 4.2% compared with the same period the previous year; the profit of textile industry totaled CNY 29.65 billion, with year-on-year growth of 3.7%. While the main business income of enterprises above designated size in garment and accessories industry reached CNY 497.93 billion, surged by 3.5% year-on-year; the profit of garment and accessories industry reached CNY 24.81 billion, with year-on-year growth of 1.2%.

From January to April, the main business income of leather, fur, feather and their products and footwear industry reached CNY 367.47 billion, surged by 3.9% year-on-year; their profit totaled CNY 20.15 billion, with year-on-year growth of 7.5%.

From January to April, the main business income of enterprises above designated size in chemical fiber manufacturing industry was CNY 277.48 billion, up 10.5% year-on-year; and its profit totaled CNY 8.55 billion, declined by 8.7% year-on-year. In April, the profit of industrial enterprises above designated size totaled CNY 515.39 billion, down 3.7% year-on-year.
