The MOS-U is a non-contact yarn break opto-electronic sensor.

Main function: To control the presence of yarns while to-and-fro or ballooning motion.

It works also for linear motion when there is sufficient vibration of the yarn.

While yarn is moving enough fast in the optical beam, sensor’s LED will stay OFF or Green (depending on the version). When the yarn breaks or stops, the sensor will indicate a default situation and give the information to the machine or to the operator by the means of a Red LED.
