Thread sensors
Fil Control is a manufacturer of equipment for the thread textile industry. Design, development and industrialisation are included in Fil Control’s expertise. Fil Control’s customers, especially major machine builder groups and thread processors interested in machine conversion, are all over the world. Three main product families offered by the company on the market: thread sensors, thread cutters and quality control devices.
Thread sensors are one of the main types of products manufactured by Fil Control: the company offers a wide range of thread sensors for textile machines.
Thread sensors are the most sensitive protection for spinning machines. The state of electronic and electro-mechanical devices varies according to the presence or the absence of thread.
Thread sensors are used to automatically or immediately detect the breakage or stoppage of one or several threads during thread processing. They insure a reliable manufacturing process.
They are programmed to inform the operator about the breakage or stoppage thanks to a visible LED flashing signal. At the same time, they will send out an electrical signal to the thread cutter in order to cut off the broken thread and grip the cut end, or send a digital signal to the PLC.
As a world specialist of thread sensor, Fil Control exports thread sensors all over the world, adapted to every kinds of machines. Fil Control’s thread sensors are reliable; their quality is well-known. They are already trusted by the major players in the textile industry, in France and overseas.
Fil Control offers 4 types of thread sensors:
Capacitive sensors
Function: Monitor and control tension variations produced by electrical charges into the thread in linear motion. (PA, PE, PES, PP, Spandex …)
Fil Control’s offer in terms of capacitive sensors:
- MCL1: a thread break capacitive sensor, very versatile, used in winding, doubling, texturing, etc. process, used to control the linear motion of any kind of textile yarns.
- MCL-B: a thread break capacitive sensor, very versatile, used in winding, doubling, twisting and texturing process, used to control the linear motion of manmade fibres.
- MCL2: a thread break capacitive sensor useful for assembling, and winding applications, used to control the linear motion of two textile yarns when assembling.
- MCL-E: a thread break capacitive sensor devoted to high count yarns, especially carpet yarns, used to control the linear motion of any kind of textile yarns.
- MCS: a capacitive technology thread sensor recommended when yarn speed is very low, when yarn count is less than 20 dtex and/or when the sensor is mounted in an environment showing high electromagnetic level of perturbations.
Optical sensors
Function: Monitor and control the presence of the thread during linear, to-and-fro or ballooning motion, with an infrared beam.
Fil Control’s offer in terms of optical sensors:
- MOS-E: a non-contact yarn break opto-electronic sensor. Its main function: to control the presence of yarns while linear, to-and-fro or ballooning motion.
- MOS-C: a non-contact yarn break opto-electronic sensor. Its main function: to control the presence of yarns while to-and-fro or ballooning motion. When the yarn breaks or stops, the sensor will indicate a default situation and give the information to the machine or to the operator by the means of a LED.
- MOS-E FDV: a non-contact yarn break opto-electronic sensor. Its main function: To control the presence of yarns for to-and-fro or ballooning motion.
- MOS-V: a non-contact yarn break opto-electronic sensor used to control the presence of yarns for to-and-fro or ballooning motion. When the yarn breaks or stops, the sensor will indicate a default situation and give the information to the machine or to the operator by the means of a LED.
- XND: Electric thread detectors used for thread and roving monitoring
Piezo-electric sensors
Function: Monitor and control a very slow motion or record thread vibrations of the thread sliding on ceramic.
Fil Control’s offer in terms of piezo-electric sensors: MPS-1, a sensor which provided a signal with a frequency proportional to the step of torsion and the tape speed. It makes possible to control the step of torsion and/or its regularity in the operations of ends assembly.
Electromechanical sensors
Function: Control the presence or absence of thread. Electromechanical sensors allow this control at a lower cost.
Fil Control’s offer in terms of electromechanical sensors: XC2-F, a low cost electromechanical yarn break detector used to control the presence of any kind of yarns. When the yarn breaks, the XC2-F will act as a switch off in a circuit and stop a position or a machine. It is generally used on winders and creels, because of it is small sized and easy fastening detector. For many years, the XC2-F series have been installed on many builder machines.
Thread sensors are sold with a guarantee and Fil Control offers installation and after sales service.
